The UK Royal Navy appears to be distinguishing
itself with the worst record of sexual harassment (and senior male officer coerced
fraternisation) claims in the submarine world.
The very large USN submarine
service with many trainees aboard had a pretty bad record in 2014 - more positive retention in 2018 - little harassment reported since?
The Australian, Scandinavian and German navies have a better reputation – though these much smaller submarine services might be able to quash bad behaviour sooner. Word gets around faster in smaller “towns”?
There has been little subsequent press reporting about the female submariners in the Japanese navy (since 2021) or the French and Spanish navies, since 2021.

Sexual harassment has to be eradicated.
