“Tensions over Indian farm laws in Australia, Sikhs attacked in Sydney

Tensions are rising among the sects of the Indian community in Australia over the difference of opinions on Indian farm laws. According to reports, a group of Sikhs was recently attacked in Sydney in an apparent hate crime.

According to [Australian] media reports, law enforcement agencies believe that the attack was a result of rising tensions between the Sikh community and supporters of the Indian government over the Sikh-led protests against the Centre’s contentious new agriculture laws.

The CCTV footage of the incident, accessed by Australia’s 7news [above], shows a group of unidentified men smashing the car with baseball bats and hammers while the Sikh men were still seated inside..."
