The drill included new units such as drones, special forces and airborne troops, and saw forces moving from multiple locations in the coastal provinces of Guangdong and Fujian, some of them by night, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
“This exercise, with the effective integration of multiple new combat forces, increased the PLA’s capabilities in joint landings and three-dimensaional assaults,” the report said."

Producing a video is a whole lot easier than a real invasion. Just look at June 6, 1944, crossing just a narrow Channel. Here we are talking 180km of open seas, and China does not have anywhere near the sea lift of D-day. Besides, the Taiwanese will be defending their own homes, may I say country, because it is a country, unlike the Wehrmacht defending the beaches of France.
A "bully diplomacy" is not going to win over any friend. The JS Kaga light carrier (it is going to get F35B), the escort DD JS Ikazuchi, and the Soryu class submarine Shoryu are in Cam Ranh, not by coincidence.
