The US had allocated considerable diplomatic bandwidth to tell India to stop importing oil from Russia while, to their credit, noting that the share of India's energy imports from Russia was miniscule (~1% of total).
But now it turns out that since the invasion began, 'energy independent' US has actually imported more fossil fuels from Russia than India did!
I think Jaishankar the foreign minister has already set the record straight with his ‘one month va one afternoon’ comment against the EU. One hopes the self defeating hypocritical sermons of the US and the EU stops.
Anytime they feel the urge to grandstand, reading about their very recent genocidal campaigns and endless wars could help them refresh their memory and hopefully serve as a humbling factor 😞

It would put India on No.3 in the QUAD in terms of largest importers of Russian oil, after Japan & the US.
