Exception "Proves?" Female Submariners a Bad Idea?

The UK Daily Mail's entertaining article of February 8, 2021 is a must-read for serious Submarine Matter-ers. The article appears to vindicate concerns of some in the UK RN's submarine service (not to mention their worried shore-based wives and girlfriends) that women on subs can be a risky (or risqué?) proposition. Also sexual fraternisation  between officers and seamans' semen (all genders and hermaphrodites) is somewhat  frowned on in all navies.

Article begins:

“Royal Navy lieutenant 'is caught shooting X-rated videos with her leading seaman boyfriend at top secret nuclear submarine base'”

...Claire Jenkins, 29, who uses the name Cally Taylor, makes several movies inside the Faslane nuclear submarine HQ, HMNB Clyde, near Glasgow.

Furious bosses have launched an investigation over the 'porn to order' videos which Lt Jenkins sells on Only Fans.

She regularly posts explicit footage with her lover, Leading Seaman Liam Doddington, also based at HMNB Clyde.

There are even fears that the couple could be blackmailed by foreign agents.

Warfare officer Lt Jenkins has commanded a team of sailors on the [the nuclear submarine] HMS Artful and was responsible for the £1billion vessel's hi-tech outer casing of sound-damping tiles.

Those tiles allow the vessel to glide through the ocean stalking Russian subs.

She was also responsible for Tomahawk cruise missiles, embarking special forces at sea and covert insertions

A Navy source told The Sun : 'The commanders can't believe it. There could be all kinds of security risks involved.'

Lt Jenkins is thought to have cleared a rigorous vetting process to get her role, including a grilling on her sex life.

However, she secretly as kinky Cally Taylor, inviting people to pay her to act out their sexual fantasies.

In her profile on Only Fans, she writes: 'I'm 29 and working that 9 to 5 life, I love to be naughty and stay colourful.

'My naughty side can sometimes get me into trouble, but that feeling of excitement we can get from doing this just makes me so hot and bothered.'

She is thought to have confessed her discretions to the top brass when challenged last week.

However, she continued to post more content over the weekend.

A Navy source said: 'This individual has been open...""

oh dear...yet another 'mishap' in the RN...

The DM says "And she was responsible for embarking Special Forces teams at sea, for covert insertions" - 'covert insertions'? LoL,

I see a whole lot of new jokes about 'up periscope', 'a torpedo in the aft end' and when they yell 'dive dive dive'... the Russians and the Chinese must be laughing their heads off...

She and her man will be binned for sure... their RN careers are sunk and they will very likely be keel hauled for this egregious indiscretion....

Thanks Nicky

Almost guaranteed the collided Japanese Soryu sub Captain, any Officer of the watch on duty and maybe sonar operators on duty, will be sacked.

I'll post an article on that soon.

Cheers

Pete

Hi GhalibKabir

Yeah, double entendres are quite appropriate to this case.

But many shore-based wives/girlfriends (of 50 to 120 sexually lonely male submariners) have expressed worry about 4 to 6 (generally young fit) female submariners being on missions.

I would say the French, Indian and Japanese navies don't allow women on subs. Highly unlikely the Chinese or Russians do.

The UK female officer involved and here seamen "lover" probably have a big internet porn career ahead of them after (or if) they're sacked.

Cheers

Hi Pete

In the collision case of JMDS Nadashio (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JDS_Nadashio) with fishing boat which caused 30 deaths and 17 injuries of boat passengers, a captain of Nadashio was sucked because he was sentenced guilty (2 years 6 months of imprisonment suspended for 4 years). Considering the above, a captain of Soryu may be subjected to disciplinary action, but not be sucked.

In stead of bending which is characteristic for damage of ductile material such as metal, huge linear cracks are observed in the fractured hydroplane which suggests composite material such as CFRP or FRP is used as hydroplane (https://www.asahi.com/articles/photo/AS20210209002192.html?iref=pc_photo_gallery_next_arrow).

Hi Anonymous [at February 10, 2021 at 3:54 PM]

Thanks for bringing up the fatal accident of Japanese Navy submarine JDS Nadashio of the Yūshio-class https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JDS_Nadashio .

About the current issue of JDS Soryu's (SS-501's) collision I still think 1 or 2 officers and maybe a Petty Officer will be sacked.

See "Pete's Predictions" at http://gentleseas.blogspot.com/2021/02/soryu-subs-ship-collision-feb-8-9-2021.html
