Greenland: Trump Loses Control of Republicans and of Big Money
At this point I have to wonder if big money donors are reining Trump in where Congress and the US Courts failed to do so. Trump has (multiple times) sent the US stock market, dollar value, and bond market (hence interest rates) on a wild ride in the past year. I have read suggestions this may have even been deliberate to allow Trump and his family to short markets for personal gain. Whether deliberate or due to ignorance, it is costing wealthy people money. likewise, driving the EU and India to trade deals with each other again costs big US market players (like pharma industry) money. So maybe they are threatening to cut off cash to him? Certainly Greenland is a big backdown, given USA already had access for both military bases and minerals projects.
Yours statements seem fair and reflect the complexity of the emerging pushback against Trump outside America.
Also Republicans are increasingly receptive to American citizen doubts about Trump (and are openly questioning him) - noting the Mid-Terms fall in November 2026.
