Predictably China is in the spy satellite game like every great power, Israel and military alliance including the QUAD and Five Eyes.
Where an Aussie claims "Australia by contrast doesn't own any military satellites and certainly doesn't have any capability to collect the sort of imagery that China's been collecting over Sydney Harbour this week." this is misleading. Aus DoD constantly receives data from many US spy satellites about Chinese and Russian military/naval/missile activities, which is what Pine Gap satellite groundstation, Aus and NZ others and US groundstations others are all about.
Cheers Pete

ReplyDeleteIndia's submarine visit to Australia is a positive step towards strengthening the QUAD alliance.
